I would like to tell you more about the 6 easy steps that will help you to become your own marketing expert. These are the steps that I have identified and put together as a programme. If you want to check it out, click here.
The programme is called RESULT and stands for:
- Recognise yourself
- Evaluate the market
- Show them what you’ve got
- Unite all your knowledge
- Launch your activities
- Talk about your business
And here is a bit more explanation about the steps:
You need to understand what marketing means and then create a marketing mindset. If you don’t have an understanding about it, you will waste money on marketing activities that are unnecessary. You also need to know your company’s values to ensure you follow the right path and make the right decisions. The decision making process will be much easier if you are clear on that.
Evaluate the market
You need to see if you business idea and your products and pricing is the viable. For that you need to know the market, trends, competitors and your target audience.
Show them what you’ve got
When you know all the above, it is time to create your story, products and pricing. With all the work done, you will have a clear understanding what your target audience wants and is willing to pay for it.
Unite all your knowledge
Well, this is where you put all you have learned and defined into a marketing plan. With a plan you will be more efficient and also be able to monitor and evaluate your marketing activities. Download my marketing plan template here.
Launch your activities
Apply your skills and make it happen. Manage your time, work your way through the marketing plan and see if they are working or if they need tweaking.
Talk about your business
A lot of businesses benefit from networking and building relationships. This step gives you all the tools: Where to find your target audience and how to talk to them. Create your perfect elevator pitch and improve your body language.
These were the 6 steps that will give you a structure for your marketing activities.
