This blog post is part 2 of the 4-part series “How to achieve a goal“. If you missed out on part 1 of the series, please click here.
Today, I want to talk about how you can stay motivated to achieve your goal. After you defined your goal you write down the action points involved to achieve that goal. There will be milestones or as I call them “in between goals” that you will write down. Once you have your list, start working your way through it.
When you achieved a goal, cross it through on your list. This way you can see the progress you are making.
You can also have a printed out timeline on which you mark where you are after each step.
Another way to keep motivated is to report to someone. This could be a Life Coach or a friend.
Review your success on a regular basis.
When you stated your goal, you can create a visionboard. This is a big piece of paper, card board or something similar on which you collate motivational things. Start creating one today by taking magazines, finding inspirational quotes etc. that suit the question: What will the goal give me once it is achieved. Stick it to a wall where you can see it.
And remember: No action, no achievement.
Your Life Coach Christine
